We are seeking a knowledgeable and passionate Plant Healthcare Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the health and vitality of our plants, diagnosing and treating plant health issues, and providing expert advice to customers on plant care and pest management.
In this role you will:
Monitor the health of plants in the nursery and retail areas, identifying signs of disease, pests, and nutrient deficiencies.
Diagnose plant health issues accurately and implement appropriate treatments, including the application of pesticides, fungicides, and fertilizers.
Develop and maintain plant healthcare programs to prevent and manage plant health problems.
Perform regular knapsack spraying to control pests, diseases, and weeds using a 20 litre portable spray, ensuring all applications are carried out safely and in accordance with environmental regulations.
Support and train our staff and customers to learn more about plant health.

Who we’re looking for:
Relevant qualification in Horticulture, Plant Science, Agronomy, or a related field is not essential but would be advantageous.
Proven experience in plant healthcare or a similar role in a nursery or garden centre.
Strong knowledge of plant species, common pests and diseases, and treatment methods.
Ability to diagnose plant health issues accurately and recommend effective treatments.
Working hours: Part-time, between 25-40 per week, with higher demand over the summer months
