The Role:

We are recruiting for a Business Development Executive to work closely with the team to generate good quality leads and appointments from inbound and outbound telephone conversations.

In this role you will:

  • Work effectively within the agency’s close-knit, customer-focused team, generating and setting up appointments for the Account Executives and Financial Adviser
  • Identify decision-makers and qualify leads through effective questioning and active listening
  • Conduct cold calls to potential customers from provided leads or self-generated lists
  • Implement new initiatives from the inbound and outbound conversations to improve the frequency and quality of the leads generated
  • Pro-actively develop a pipeline of prospects

What we are looking for: 

  • a minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at Grade C or above, including Maths and English
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft office and sales support systems
  • Someone who is comfortable outbound calling clients, using the current database and developing new leads
  • Strong negotiation and persuasion abilities
  • A passion, enthusiasm and drive for sales
  • Excellent relationship-building, communication and sales skills

This role is 100% office based, to ensure a quality service provision and a happy connected team. Flexible hours available (minimum 28 hours, maximum 35 hours per week). Salary and annual leave entitlement advertised is based on full time hours.
